Advantage: FiberTech merges in LEONI Fiber Optics
In early july 2010 FiberTech will merge in its majority shareholder, LEONI Fiber Optics. Since the end of 2007 FiberTech is part of the Fiber Optics business unit of the LEONI group. After the merger, more than 350 employees worldwide will design and produce technological system solutions in fiber optics under the name of LEONI Fiber Optics. The FiberTech brand will be retained as a product brand for special fiber, medical laserprobes and fiber-optical sensor technology solutions in the accustomed quality. The wide product portfolio of LEONI Fiber Optics is subdivided in to the product families FiberConnect® for cable solutions, FiberSwitch® for optical switches and Fiber Split® for products of planar waveguide technology.
FiberTech is one of Europe’s leading producers of high-end quartz/quartz multi-mode fibers and of custom-made fiber-optic cables for industrial, medical and scientific applications.
